Vanessa Martinez, Portfolio of Personal and Academic Work

Welcome to my digital portfolio! My name is Vanessa Martinez. I am an undergraduate student at Rollins College, majoring in Political Science and taking the Pre-Law track. At Rollins, I am the Editor-in-Chief of Her Campus magazine, the #1 global community for college women. My writings are focused on news, politics and mental health. I have worked as Campaign Intern and Legislative Intern for Florida State House Representative Anna V. Eskamani. During my internships, I gained valuable experience in advocacy efforts against the housing crisis, unemployment, socioeconomic inequities and more. I also have been involved with Amnesty International at Rollins, to work on human rights campaigns from workshops to create care kits for human trafficking survivors to holding a fundraiser for NOVA UKRAINE for Ukrainian refugees.
